Rhapsody works best when you have an account (aka Membership). Your Rhapsody account let's you:
- Keep track of playlists you've created
- Manage a history of the music you've listened to through the mixer or playlist
- Filling out the MyRhapsody tab with music you like
- Keeping a history of the channels you like including recently played (I love this feature)
- Managing the dynamic playlists
- Cataloging the custom music channels you've created
- improves music recommendations by using the rating system of the songs you've rated from don't play to 5 stars
The extra nice thing about a Rhapsody Account is that it works across all versions of Rhapsody and across any computer (including MAC and Linux) that has an internet connection. Once you have your user name and password, you can access your account from almost anywhere.
A free account will give you 25 song plays per month (the same song 25 times or 25 different songs once) and unlimited access to 25 of the hundreds of Rhapsody Music Channels. The free account just requires the creation of an account with a user name and password.
You can also get a free 14 day trial to the full Rhapsody Service which gives you full rights to listen to any of the 5 million plus full-length songs and all the featurs as much as you want. This requires signing up with a credit card and having the right to cancel within 14 days with no charges being incurred. After the 14 days, the rhapsody unlimited is $12.99 per month for all the music you can listen to plus the software plus the music videos plus the option to buy songs for only $.99.

- You may also need to install a lite version of the player that let's you play the music through a browser. It is a very small and quick install process that is painless and secure. Some computers already have the lite version on them.
Rhapsody Unlimited with Software - The full version of Rhapsody with the jukebox software has all of the features of www.rhapsody.com plus a ton more such as CD Burning, music sharing (send playlists and songs to people), managing all of your music in one library including the music already on your harddrive (kind of like iTunes) and Buy songs if you want to own them for only $.99 each.
