Building & Sharing Playlists with Rhapsody is Easy. Here's How:
Step #1 - Sign-up for a free trial of Rhapsody if you're not a member. Click here for 14 days free plus 5 free song downloads - no obligation.
Step #2 - Install the jukebox software - The jukebox software makes it easy to create specific playlists. The jukebox software is a piece of software that gives you more features than the website such as CD Burning, Playlist creation, etc. On the www.rhapsody.com website, you can PLAY playlists you've created in your account, search and play playlists from Playlist Central (users, editors and celebrities post their favorite playlists) and create playlists from favorite artists. So, if you create a playlist in your account in the jukebox software - you can PLAY it on any browser (PC, Mac, Linux) from ANY computer - just log-in to your account - this is great for parties, sharing, etc.
Step #3 - Create a New Playlist. Create a new playlist on your playlist manager which is located next to the mixer tab on the left side of the software. There are two ways to create a new playlist
- Click on the playlist tab (next to mixer tab)
- Right click on the playlist window > select new playlist or new auto playlist which generates a playlist based on artists and songs in your library and mixer.
- Click on the new playlist button at the bottom of the playlist manager.
See the screenshot below to see where the playlist manager lives and where the tab is for Playlist Central.
Step #4 - Adding Music to the Playlist. Once you have created a new playlist, you need to add songs/albums/artists to it - whether you own the CD or not! Here is how you add music to a playlist:
- Find the music you want to add. Click here for a tutorial on finding and discovering music on this site.
- The music can be music you own and have imported into your library OR Rhapsody subscription full length tracks that you have access to via your subscription.
- You can now drag and drop an ablum, song or artist song list INTO the playlist. It's really easy to do this.
Step #5 - Sharing a Playlist. Now that you've created a playlist, there are multiple ways to play, share and extend it. The fastest way is to click on the playlist and then click on the share button at the bottom of the Playlist Manager that says "Share". This brings up the Playlist Share manager (see screenshot). From here you can share to Playlist Central, Via Email, Via a Blog or Webpost or Instant Messenger.
